Training

Teaching Artist Training

ArtSage offers a year-long training program of workshops, curriculum, site-based teaching opportunities, and mentorships for teaching artists who wish to work with older adults in all care levels. Our unique training model is based in current aging research, best practices, and an interdisciplinary, multi-modal approach. Master teaching artists and trained experts in the field of Arts & Aging lead our training and senior facility partners serve as host teaching sites.

Intro to Arts & Aging Workshops

Offered in formats suited to community-wide audiences and smaller gatherings, ArtSage staff and master trainers provide a foundational knowledge about the aging process and best practices for planning and implementing creative arts activities with elders.

Consulting

For Arts and Cultural Organizations

Tailored training programs for arts and cultural organizations to help you serve your growing older adult audiences. ArtSage offers practical, hands-on, and tailored consulting services for senior-serving organizations to help you develop, design, and incorporate fun, interactive arts programming that will engage your residents and help them feel vital and connected. Our programs and services are based in current aging research, best practices, and an interdisciplinary, multi-modal approach using trained teaching artists and master arts and aging experts.

ArtSage offers access to a roster of professionally trained teaching artists who specialize in work with older adults at all levels of care.

SageConnect™ Online Database

SageConnect is a new searchable, statewide database from ArtSage that will match trained teaching artists and arts organization programs focused on older adults with senior-serving organizations seeking to contract or partner with high-quality arts programs and practitioners. Through SageConnect, teaching artists and arts organizations can offer information about themselves, their teaching approach, and sample lesson plans or programs they have developed for older adults.
